Sruth means current or flow in the Irish language.
These webpages outline some of the past and present currents of marine biology and social science research, ocean literacy and conservation that run through my work. Recent publications:

Coastal communities worldwide face growing environmental and human rights burdens. Yet ocean defenders often experience repression and violence. All people should be safe to speak and advocate on behalf of the ocean and their rights. Society has a duty to protect both human rights and ocean defenders.
An urgent call to action to all sectors of society to mobilise in support of ocean defenders was published today. Find the paper here:
